Historical and cultural festival "Heart of the Great Scythia"
"Donbas Ceramic Bodies" LLC contributed to the historical and cultural festival "Heart of the Great Scythia" (within the scope of which it was held the second all-Ukrainian ceramic symposium of fiery sculpture "Scythia, Scythian and I" and the first children's ceramic symposium " Scythians’ Descendants").
In order to popularize the Scythian’s cultural heritage of Ukraine, the second ceramic symposium of fiery sculpture "Scythia Scythian and I» was held in Nikopol in June. Sculptors from Nikopol, Uzhgorod, Lviv, Kyiv and Slavyansk took part in it.
Specially for the symposium was created a sculpture park behind the Nikopol museum of local lore, where work was continuing for a week. Round-the-clock visitors and residents of the city could come and watch the process. In all, about 4 tons of ceramic body was spent and 16 sculptures were made.
For the first time, a children's symposium was held simultaneously with an adult one. Sculptors’ children and the pupils of Nikopol schools took part in it. They made two sculptures and a Scythian panel for 700 tiles. During the whole symposium, children every day were giving master classes on working with clay to the visitors of the sculptural camp.
On June 28, the Constitution Day, an enchanting firestorm of sculptures took place on the European Square. The atmosphere was magical, and the spectacle was impressive.
